The shooting occurred on Friday, near the parade route in the Spring Garden neighborhood of the city, per CBS News citing police. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, police reported that a man wearing an Eagles jersey shot two women after an argument.

The circumstances leading to the shooting remain unclear, and witnesses in the crowd reportedly did not hear the gunfire. According to police, two women, aged 27 and 20, sought medical attention at the medic tent located at 23rd and Spring Garden streets.
Both Shooting Victims Were Women in Their 20s
A 27-year-old woman sustained a gunshot wound to her left leg. Meanwhile, a 20-year-old woman was shot in the upper left thigh, police reported in a statement released Friday following the parade. Both are currently in stable condition.
Meanwhile, police had made no arrests and have found no weapons. The investigation remains ongoing.

Meanwhile, yesterday’s shooting followed yet another shooting at last year’s Super Bowl Parade celebration.
One year ago, on Feb. 14, 2024, as the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade came to an end, a tragic shooting near Union Station claimed one life and left 22 others injured.
In a statement posted X hours after the incident, the Chiefs’ center Travis Kelce expressed solidarity with those affected.
“My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected,” he wrote. My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me,” he added.
